Malaysia Strongly Condemns Israeli Agression against Al-Aqsa Mosque

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Malaysian prime minister strongly condemned Israel's aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and attempts to impose temporal and spatial divisions in the holy religious site.

Malaysia should play a leading role in protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, said Hamas political bureau head Khaled Meshaal in a phone conversation with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Khaled stressed the importance of Malaysia to move with the international community to halt Israeli plans to occupy Jerusalem, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque .

In response, Najib expressed strong condemnation of the Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa and attempts to impose temporal and spatial divisions.

He also said Malaysia stands alongside the Palestinian people in the face of these abuses and violations, Malaysia-based Astro Awani TV station reported on Monday.

Khaled expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Najib, the Malaysian government and its people for their firm position in support of the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression.
