Iran Beats Japan at 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Japan in its opening match in the 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup on Friday.

The Iranian team beat Japan 6-3 in Group B in Bangkok’s Keelavej Stadium.

Iran has been scheduled to face Algeria on Saturday.

Iran women’s team lost to England 5-0 in Group D. The team will play Denmark on Sunday.

A total of 27 teams from 20 countries are competing in the event.

Men’s event consists of 11 teams, divided into two groups.

Thailand, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Italy and Brazil are in Group A.

Group B consists of Iran, Russia, Japan, Switzerland, Algeria and Norway.

Women’s event consists of 15 teams, divided into three groups of four teams and one group of three.

Group A is made up of Thailand, Italy, Sweden and China.

Russia, Turkey, Spain and Japan are in Group B.

Group C consists of Germany, Belgium, Norway and Brazil while England, Denmark and Iran are in Group D.
