Iran Ready to Share Experiences with Bolivia in All Areas: President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani voiced the country’s willingness to promote cooperation with Latin American states and said the Islamic Republic is ready to share its experiences with Bolivia in all spheres.

Speaking in a meeting with a high-ranking Bolivian delegation headed by President Evo Morales in Tehran on Tuesday, President Rouhani described the South American country as a friend and a revolutionary nation and said Iran is willing to boost ties with Bolivia.

“We are ready to share our experiences and capabilities with Bolivia in various technical, engineering and agricultural areas,” he stated.

He further pointed to the close cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sectors, saying that the two sides can expand relations in line with the interests of energy producers and buyers.

Morales, for his part, pointed to the friendly ties between Tehran and Sucre and called for closer mutual cooperation and transfer of technology from Iran to Bolivia.

The Bolivian president and his accompanying delegation traveled to Tehran to attend the 3rd GECF (Gas Exporting Countries Forum) Summit, which was held on Monday.

The forum, founded in 2001, unites leading natural gas exporting countries and coordinates cooperation between its member states.

The GECF is a gathering of the world's leading gas producers and was set up as an intergovernmental organization with the objective to increase the level of coordination and strengthen the collaboration among member countries.
