Putin Has Most Improved Reputation of Public Figures

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Vladimir Putin has the most improved reputation of public figures in 2015, according to a new analysis by Britain-based research firm YouGov.

Mr Putin’s reputation seemingly improved dramatically amongst British people mainly due to his handling of the Syrian crisis.

At exactly the same time Russia began its bombing campaign in Syria, Mr Putin's popularity ratings shot up, according to the analysis, The Independent reported.

In the public figures category Nick Clegg also had a huge improvement, with his popularity rating increasing by 25 points to minus 27. Nigel Farage also fared quite well, with his rating going up by 23, to minus 21.

The biggest faller this year was Labour MP Simon Danczuk, whose popularity rating fell by 41 points.

Unfortunately for the Labour party seven of the ten public figures who lost the most ground in 2015 are Labour MPs.

Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn and Deputy Leader Tom Watson are among the top 10, losing 20 points and 35 points respectively.
