Saudi Rulers Igniting Religious War: Analyst

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Syrian analyst lashed out at Saudi Arabia's officials for inciting religious war, saying they speeded up attempts to create division after Sunni Muslims rushed to fight against the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group.

Saudi rulers seek to fan the flames of religious war in all circumstances, Hassan al-Hassan, a Syrian expert of military and strategic affairs, told Tasnim.

He said the Al Saud decided to wage a war on Yemen after realizing that the Sunni Muslim community is vigilant and fights against the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching deadly airstrikes against Yemeni people in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

According to Yemeni sources, some 7,500 people have been killed in the Saudi-led aggressions so far.
