KONARAK (Tasnim) – Iranian Navy on Saturday test-fired a number of advanced torpedoes from destroyers and submarines during the ongoing drills in the southeastern waters east of the Hormuz Strait.

The Iranian Navy forces, in the fourth day of the ongoing massive war games, test-fired the torpedoes from Jamaran and Alvand destroyers.

They also test-fired a number of torpedoes from the Ghadir and Tareq-class submarines.

All the torpedoes hit the intended targets with a high precision.

The main stage of these massive war games kicked off on Wednesday morning in the country’s southeastern waters, stretching over an area from east of the strategic Strait of Hormuz to the northern parts of the Indian Ocean.

The naval drills cover an area of around 3 million square kilometers, down to the 10-degrees latitude, north of the Indian Ocean.
