Iran Suffers Defeat against Japan at Kuban Spring Women U-19
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women national football team lost to Japan 2-0 in Group A of the Kuban Spring Women U-19 on Sunday.
The Iranian team had lost to Romania 4-3 in its first match in the competition.
Iran has been scheduled to face host Russia in Group A on Tuesday.
Group B consists of Krasnodar, Estonia, North Korea and Sibir.
The tournament was held for the first time in 2004 in Poltava Stanitsa, Krasnodar Krai. It began as a club tournament, later acquiring international status, and since 2010, it is held in Sochi.
