Majid Jalali Takes Charge of Paykan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Majid Jalali was named new head coach of Iranian football club Paykan on Wednesday.
Newly promoted Paykan parted company with Alireza Marzban after securing promotion to Iran Professional League (IPL) in early May.
Jalali has joined Paykan on a one-year contract but the details of the deal have not been revealed.
With two games remaining in the 2015-16 IPL season, Jalali was sacked as head coach of Saipa football team after a poor run of results.
The 59-year-old coach started his coaching career at Vahdat in 1986.
Jalali has also coached Pas, Saba, Esteghlal Ahvaz, Foolad and Tractor Sazi in Iran football.
