Yemen Fires Ballistic Missile at Saudi Airport

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s military forces targeted an airport in Saudi Arabia’s southern region of Abha with a ballistic missile amid relentless airstrikes by a Saudi-led military coalition against Yemeni people.

The Arabian Peninsula country’s army and forces of the voluntary committees, launched a Qaher-1 ballistic missile at the Abha region’s airport, south of Saudi Arabia, al-Ahed news website reported.

In a separate missile attack, the Yemeni forces hit a gathering of Saudi Arabia’s mercenaries with rockets in Yemen’s province of Marib, inflicting losses on them and triggering successive explosions at the site of the gathering of the mercenaries.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

More than 8,000 Yemenis, including many women and children, have died in the Saudi-led aggression so far.
