Beach Volleyball World Tour to Start on Wednesday in Kish Island
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour will be held in the majestic beach of Kish Island on February 15-18.
The men’s-only 3-Star event will be held at the beautiful island in the Persian Gulf for the second straight year, with a cast of teams from around the world, featuring Olympic and up-and-coming pairs that will heat up the sands of the Iranian island.
Kish Island is regarded as the pearl of the Persian Gulf and welcomes over a million visitors each year. The island is a free economic zone, which operates as a tourism and trading hub for the country.
The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour is an intercontinental beach volleyball tour.
The tour was previously known as the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour (2003–2012).
