Majda Cicic Satisfied with Iran’s Girls Team in Asian Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Majda Cicic, head coach of Iran national women's volleyball team, is satisfied with her girls’ performance in the 11th Asian Girls’ U18 Championship.

Iran suffered two successive defeats against China and Hong Kong in Pool A of the competition underway in China.

“We made selection for this team three months ago. This team is very young and this is very little time to prepare it for the tournament. I have to say that some of my players only have training one time a week. They never play any tournaments and any international match,” Cicic said.

“We just play some friendship matches. Putting all these together, I think they are very good. China won the Olympics, so what can I say? But for my team, I have to say that I am very satisfied. I see their growing,” she added.

“They are one team. I have to say all the players are very good," Cicic concluded.
