Iran Made Fewer Mistakes than China, Coach Ataei Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran coach Behrouz Ataei says that they defeated China since they made fewer mistakes than their rivals.
Iran edged past China 3-2 (25-17, 23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-10) in Pool E of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship on Wednesday.
“It was a very hard match, because now every loss means not to be qualified in top four. We made fewer mistakes than the opponents and I am happy for the victory,” Ataei told fivb.com.
Rasoul Aghchehli, captain of Iran, also said: “It was a really hard match - we knew how strong China are. They play a lot of combinations with all their 12 players.”
