2017 World Games: Iranian Archer Ebadi Seizes Silver Medal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s archer Esmaeil Ebadi claimed a silver medal in the last day of competition at the Wrocław 2017 World Games.
The Iranian archer lost to Danish archer and reigning World Archery Champion Stephan Hansen 146-142 in the men’s compound final.
Iran won two gold medals and eight silvers and one bronze in the 11-day competition.
The World Games, first held in 1981, are an international multi-sport event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, that are not contested in the Olympic Games.
A total of 201 events in 27 official sport disciplines were held during the Games.
