Syrian Jets Bomb Daesh Positions in Hama, Homs, Raqqah

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian warplanes pounded the positions of Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorists in the eastern countryside of the Arab country’s west-central province of Hama, killing and injuring a large group of them.

The gathering centers of Daesh militants in the areas of Salamiyeh, Salba, Jorouh, Qulaib al-Thaor, Jana al-Elbawei, al-Azib, Dekaileh Shamaliyeh, and Dekaileh Janoubiyeh were heavily bombed by Syrian fighter jets on Monday, SANA reported.

Dozens of the foreign-backed terrorists lost their lives during the raids.

In a separate development, Syrian warplanes targeted hideouts and positions of Daesh terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs and the southern countryside of Raqqah, inflicting heavy losses on them.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL), currently controlling parts of it.

According to a report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people, injured 1.9 million others, and displaced nearly half of the country’s pre-war population of about 23 million within or beyond its borders.
