Iranian President Congratulates Hungary on National Day

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani offered his congratulations to the Hungarian people and government on the anniversary of the Central European country’s revolution in 1956.

In a message to Hungarian President Janos Ader on Monday, Rouhani felicitated the national day of Hungary and praised recent developments in bilateral ties between Tehran and Budapest as “positive and constructive”.

He also expressed the hope that relations and cooperation between the two countries would develop in all areas more than ever.

He also wished health and success for Ader and felicity and prosperity for the Hungarian people.

October 23 is a day that commemorates the 1956 Hungarian revolution and is marked by a range of national events and a public holiday.

A number of events will commemorate the day from free exhibitions to an open day at the Hungarian Parliament.
