Iran, Italy to Broaden Consular Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign ministry officials of Iran and Italy in a meeting in Tehran weighed plans to boost cooperation in consular affairs.

Tehran hosted the joint consular meeting of Iran and Italy on Wednesday.

In their talks, directors for consular affairs from the foreign ministries of the two sides discussed ways to enhance consular relations and facilitate bilateral trips.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani paid a visit to Italy in January 2016, during which the two sides signed a roadmap for development of Tehran-Rome ties in political, economic, cultural, tourism, scientific, and technological fields.
