Iran’s Zarif Back Home after UN Trip

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Tehran Saturday night after attending the UN General Assembly and holding dozens of meetings in New York.

Zarif had travelled to New York with President Hassan Rouhani for the 73rd UN General Assembly meeting.

During his two-week stay at the UN, the top Iranian diplomat had more than 100 meetings, speeches and interviews.

His tight schedule in New York included talks with his foreign counterparts and heads of major international organizations.

Zarif focused on Iran’s foreign policy, regional and international issues, the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, and the US hostile policies in his meetings and speeches.
