Iran Moves Up at FIFA Ranking
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran moved up one place at the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Thursday.
Team Melli moved to the 29th place and remained the best Asian football team.
Australia is the second Asian team (41st), Japan sits third in 50th place, just ahead of Korea in 53rd, Saudi Arabia in 69th, Syria in 74th and China 76th. Asian Cup host UAE comes in as Asia's eighth-placed side at 79th spot.
Belgium remains top of the ranking, although the gap between the Red Devils, France (2nd, unchanged) and Brazil (3rd, unchanged) has narrowed over the past month.
