Iran’s Taolu Practitioner Mojiri Claims Gold at World Wushu C’ships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohammad Ali Mojiri from Iran won a gold medal at the 15th edition of the World Wushu Championships on Tuesday.

He won the gold medal in nandao discipline with 9.633 points.

Yung Chen Huang from Chinese Taipei (9.620) seized the silver medal and bronze medal went to South Korean Donghae Yun (9.616).

The competitions are being held in Shanghai, China from October 17 to 23.

On Monday, Shahrbano Mansouriyan and Maryam Hashemi won two gold medals in Sanda events.

Mansouriyan defeated Brazilian Raine Cristina De Oliveira Martins in the women's 70kg final bout.

In the women’s 75kg, Maryam Hashemi defeated Indian athlete Poonam and won a gold medal.

Players from 102 countries and regions have participated in the competition, the most high-level contest within the Wushu sport.

Host China sits top of the table with seven gold medals, followed by Iran with three golds.
