Iran’s Akbari Named Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup Top Scorer
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Amir Hossein Akbari was named as the top scorer of the Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup Dubai.
Akbari scored six goals in the competition before suffering a dislocated elbow in the match against Russia.
He didn’t play against the UAE and Spain in the semifinal and final matches respectively but was named as the event’s top scorer.
Akbari scored two goals against Mexico, three goals against Egypt and one goal against Russia.
Iran won the title for the third time after defeating Spain 6-3 in the final match in Dubai, the UAE.
