Iran’s Hazfi Cup: Persepolis, Sepahan, Tractor Advance to QF
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis, Sepahan and Tractor football teams advanced to the quarter-final round of Iran’s Hazfi Cup on Tuesday.
Persepolis defeated Sanat Naft 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium thanks to Mehdi Torabi’s 54th minute goal.
Sepahan beat Paykan 2-1 in Isfahan. Mohammad Mohebbi gave the host the lead in the 13th minute and Sajad Shahbazzadeh extended the lead in the 45th minute.
Shahriar Moghanloo pulled a goal back for Paykan in the 63rd minute.
In Orumiyeh, Tractor beat Navad 7-6 on penalty shootout after two teams drew 1-1 in regular and extra times.
The 2019–20 Hazfi Cup is the 33nd season of the Iranian football knockout competition and the final match will be held in Shiraz.
