Persepolis Cancels Contract with Junior Brandao

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football club Persepolis has cancelled its contract with Brazilian forward Junior Brandao.

Brandao, 24, failed to score just one goal in five matches for Persepolis.

On Thursday, Persepolis General Manager Mohammad Hassan Ansarifard announced that they have paid the Brazilian $102,000 to cancel the remainder of his contract, which ran until the end of the season.

Brandao joined Persepolis from Ludogorets on loan but didn’t satisfy the club after poor performance.

The Iran Professional League (IPL) title-holder is going to sign a foreign forward in January.
