Iran Implementing 183 Projects in Rural, Agricutlural Cooperatives Network

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran is implementing 183 infrastructure projects to boost the country’s rural, agricultural cooperatives, Iranian Deputy Minister of Agriculture-Jihad Hossein Shirzad said.

Shirzad, who is also CEO of the Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives of Iran(CORC), said that 47 out of 183 projects have been completed and the remaining 136 projects are under implementation.

Poinintg to major projects, Shiirzad said the construction phase of a 10,000-ton silo has been completed and the project is in use in Gahvare village near Dalaho in Kermanshah province, west of Iran.

He said by the 4th of January, 2020, 255 infrastructure projects have been approved by the provincial and regional technical committees. About 73 projects were able to attract financial facilities.

Meanwhile, a 20,00 -ton silo in Kurdestan is under construction and will be finished by the end of  March 2020. Furthermore,  the construction of two silos  (20,000 ton)  in Ahvaz, the provincial capital of Khuzestan, will be started soon.

Furthermore, greenhouses in the export terminals, are under construction in Ghasr-e- Shirin of Kermanshah as well as in Marivan of Kurdestan, Shirzad added.

Standardization and coding of the warehouses of the rural and agricultural cooperatives are under processing too. These warehouses have been dedicated to reserve agricultural products nationwide. By now, more than 3000 warehouses, amounting to about 3-ton capacity have been standardized  throughout the country.
