Newly-Elected MPs Pledge Efforts to Fulfill Production Surge Goals
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A large group of winners of the recent parliamentary elections in Iran praised Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei for naming the new Iranian year the year of ‘surge in production’, and vowed to do their utmost to attain that goal.
In a letter to Ayatollah Khamenei, 182 newly-elected lawmakers thanked the Leader for choosing ‘surge in production’ as the new year’s main theme, describing the slogan as a more advanced and promising version of ‘boosting production’, which was the previous year’s motto.
The MPs also said that the Leader’s guidelines would define the strategic path for the Parliament in the years to come, stressing that production surge in the Islamic Republic, which is grappling with cruel sanctions, would be a symbol of resistance, getting stronger, and winning victory in the economic war launched by enemies.
In a new year message on March 20, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed the need for a further surge in the national production with the participation of all organizations and sectors, saying, “Officials should act in a way that production will witness a surge, God willing, and that there will be a tangible change in the lives of the people.”
