Iran’s FM Attends Ceremony to Commemorate Allama Iqbal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif attended a ceremony held in Pakistan to commemorate the 143rd birthday anniversary of renowned Persian-speaking poet Allama Iqbal Lahori.
The Wednesday ceremony was also attended by Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Iran’s top diplomat has traveled to Islamabad at the head of a political-economic delegation upon the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart.
In this trip, Zarif has sat down with senior Pakistani officials to discuss promotion of bilateral relations, regional issues, the Muslim world, and international affairs.
