Zob Ahan Scores Late to Share Points with Persepolis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Zob Ahan football team earned a late draw against host Persepolis in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
Persepolis, who was looking for its third win in its sixth match, played an attacking football in the first half. Persepolis winger Omid Alishah found the back of the net from a cross in the 17th minute.
But in the second half, Zob Ahan was the better team and dominated possession of the ball.
In the 89th minute, Zob Ahan defender Abdollah Hosseini and Persepolis defender Saeid Aghaei were shown red card after a quarrel.
Two minutes later, Milad Jahani from Zob Ahan leveled the score.
