Ex-Iran Coach Mohajerani Released from Hospital
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former Iran national football team coach Heshmat Mohajerani was released from hospital on Tuesday.
Mohajerani, 82, had been hospitalized last week with COVID-19, and he is now recovering from the virus.
Mohajerani led Team Melli to 1978 FIFA World Cup for the first time. He had also inspired the Iranian football team to title two years earlier in the 1976 AFC Asian Cup.
Persepolis and Iran players Mehrdad Minavand and Ali Ansarian, who have been hospitalized for the coronavirus last week, remain at the hospital.
