IPL: Esteghlal Back on Track
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal defeated Shahr Khodro 2-0 on Monday to keep up its challenge for the Iran Professional League (IPL) title.
Arman Ramezani opened the scoring for Esteghlal in the 48th minute and Mehdi Ghaedi scored the second goal before the final whistle.
Esteghlal football team is third with 40 points, eight points behind IPL leaders Sepahan and Persepolis.
On Tuesday, Foolad will meet Naft Masjed Soleyman in Ahvaz.
