2 IRGC Staffers Pronounced Dead after Fire at Research Center

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two of the three staffers of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) that suffered burns after a fire in a research center in Tehran succumbed to injuries on Monday and were martyred.

The IRGC Public Relations department announced in a statement on Monday that the fire the broke out at the warehouse of a center belonging to the IRGC’s Research and Self-Sufficiency Organization in west of Tehran on Sunday injured a number of staffers.

Two of the servicemen, named Seyed Morteza Karimi and Hossein Abedi, succumbed to injuries and have been martyred, the statement said.

 

Expressing condolences to the families of the two martyrs, the IRGC said their funeral will be held in compliance with the health protocols specified by the Coronavirus Fight National Headquarters.
