Iran’s Sarlak Wins Silver at World Wrestling C’ships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Alireza Sarlak won a silver medal at the United World Wrestling (UWW) World Championships in Oslo, Norway on Monday.
The freestyler lost to 2020 Olympic Games bronze medalist Thomas Gilman 5-3 in the final bout of 57kg.
Hassan Yazdani in the 86kg and Amir Hossein Zare in the 125kg on Sunday won two gold medals for Iran.
A total of 800 wrestlers from 100 countries are competing at the Wrestling World Championships, being held from October 2 to 10 in Oslo, Norway.
