Zero Daily COVID-19 Related Deaths Announced in Nine Iranian Provinces

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Health Ministry has announced zero daily Covid deaths among nine of the 32 Iranian provinces in Iran.

The latest figures also reported another 2,971 new cases in Iran over the past 24 hours, among which 493 individuals have been hospitalized.

Iran's Health Ministry, on Friday, puts the number of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran at 130,603 with 79 more Iranians reported to have been killed by the deadly disease.

Out of a total of 6,150,843 infected people, 5,957,017 have recovered or been discharged from hospitals, according to the Ministry.

Some 3,154 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and in intensive care units, it added.

The Health Ministry also announced that 58,543,424 Iranians have received the first dose and 49,045,408 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Moreover, 2,098,574 people have also received the third shot as the booster jab.
