2nd Dose of COVID Vaccine Suffices for Holiday Travels: Iranian President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Those who have received at least two doses of vaccine for the coronavirus will be allowed to take trips during the Nowruz holiday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said.

In comments at a Saturday meeting of the Coronavirus Fight National Headquarters, Raisi said since a large percentage of Iranians have not still gotten the third dose of the COVID vaccine, those who have received two doses of vaccine will be permitted to go on trips during the Iranian new year’s holidays.

Lauding the health society personnel for their unwavering efforts that tackled the sixth wave of pandemic in the country, the president said it is necessary to abide by the health protocols and observe the regulations to avert the spread of infection in the coming days.

According to the figures released by the Health Ministry, more than 56 million Iranians have been injected with at least two doses of vaccine for COVID-19.
