The championship started on July 30 and will run until August 10 in North Macedonia under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF).
Iran has been drawn in Group B along with North Macedonia, Uzbekistan and Senegal.
The Persians will meet Senegal and North Macedonia in Group B on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively.
