“We appreciate Iran's consistent adherence to the one-China principle,” Chang Hua said in a post on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
In a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Friday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi described the support for the one-China policy as the definitive and principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The one-China policy is the position held by the People's Republic of China that there is only one sovereign state under the name China, with the PRC serving as the sole legitimate government of that China.
