Iran’s Akbarpour Seizes Gold at 2022 World Ju-Jitsu Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ali Akbarpour won a gold medal at the 2022 World Ju-Jitsu Championship on Monday.
The Iranian practitioner defeated Montenegrin Djorje Klac, Ramazan Kussainov of Kazakhstan and Belgian George Darie Vlad in the Master 1 +94 KG.
Mohammad Mehdi Rostamian and Radman Gholami had respectively claimed a silver and a bronze for Iran in the U-21 category earlier.
A total of 1,700 fighters from 75 countries participated in the sporting event.
The 2022 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship started on October 29 and finished on November 8 in Jiu-Jitsu Arena, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
