Iran Condemns Deadly Blasts in Afghanistan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the explosions that have killed and wounded Afghan people in Mazar-i-Sharif and Jalalabad.

In a statement on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned the Tuesday’s fatal blasts in Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif and Jalalabad, expressing his condolences to the families of victims of the terrorists attacks.

At least seven people have been killed in a roadside blast in Afghanistan’s northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Tuesday. The victims included employees of a petroleum company on a bus.

In another attack, 9 people have been confirmed wounded as a blast rocked a currency exchange market in Jalalabad, the capital of Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province.

Last month, at least 19 people were killed and 24 others wounded by a blast at a school in Aybak, a city in Samangan province that abuts Balkh province.
