Zagreb Open 2023: Iran’s Emami Wins Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Younes Emami of Iran claimed a silver medal in the Zagreb Open Ranking Series event.
Emami lost to American wrestler Jason Nolf in the 74kg weight category.
Nolf impressed in his 3-3 win over World Championships bronze medalist Emami.
The Iranian wrestler had defeated Kojiro Shiga (JPN), Tajmuraz Salkazanov (SVK), Joseph Lawrence Lavallee (USA) and Fazlı Eryılmaz (TUR) on his way en route to the final.
The 2023 Grand Prix Zagreb Open is a wrestling event being held in Zagreb, Croatia from February 1 to 5, 2023.
