Iran to Play New Zealand at 2023 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup QFs
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national basketball team qualified for the quarterfinals round of the 2023 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup on Friday.
Team Melli defeated the Philippines 11-4 and Qatar 21-19 on Friday.
The Iranian team, first in Group D, set a date in the next round on Sunday with New Zealand counterpart, while Qatar will play Australia.
The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2023 is of great importance, being qualifier for the Olympic Games (Paris 2024), where the champion will play the Olympic play-off with the continental champions to determine the participating teams in the Olympics.
