Iran to Withdraw from 2023 VNL After US Denies Visas for Five Members

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) warned the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) it will withdraw from the 2023 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) if the US government doesn’t issue visas for five members of the National Team.

The VNL Week 3 will be held in Anaheim, California from July 4 to 9 but the US has not granted visas to three players and two members of the team.

Amin Esmaeilnezhad, Arman Salehi and Esmaeil Mosafer are the players who have not been granted visas.

Davarzani has sent an email to FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F°, expressing his concern about a lack of response from the American side about visa issuance for the national volleyball team’s members.
