2023 VNL: Iran Beaten by Argentina
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran suffered another defeat in the 2023 Volleyball Nations League Week 3, losing to Argentina 3-2 (25-19, 28-30, 27-29, 25-20, 15-11) early Sunday.
Iran’s Morteza Sharifi earned 16 points and Argentina’s Agustin Loser collected 21 points.
Iran, who had lost to France and Bulgaria in Anaheim, the US in Week 3, will meet Cuba in its last match early Monday.
Iran head coach Behrouz Ataei and two key players Amin Esmaeilnezhad and Arman Salehi have missed the Week 3 after the US government didn’t issue their visas.
