US-Led Coalition Violates Deconfliction Protocols in Syria, Russian Official Reports

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The United States-led coalition breached deconfliction protocols in Syria on 12 occasions within the last 24 hours, the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, revealed on Sunday.

Rear Adm. Oleg Gurinov stated during a briefing, "During the day, 12 cases of violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019, were recorded, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles not coordinated with the Russian side by the so-called 'international anti-terrorist coalition' led by the United States."

He further mentioned that two F-16 fighter jets and an MC-12W reconnaissance jet had encroached upon the airspace in the Al-Tanf area, which serves as a passage for international air routes.

Additionally, two shelling attacks occurred in Syria's Idlib de-escalation zone within the past 24 hours. One attack targeted the Idlib province, while the other took place in the Latakia province, resulting in injuries to a Syrian soldier.
