Iran’s Sayar Wins Bronze at 2023 U-17 World Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sam Reza Sayar of Iran won a bronze medal in the 2023 U-17 World Wrestling Championships on Saturday.
The freestyler defeated Turkmenistan’s Azymberdi Ashyrgulyyev 10-0 in the 48kg weight class.
Paul Joseph Kenny from the US won the gold medal in the class, beating Japan’s Yamato Furusawa.
The 2023 U-17 World Wrestling Championships started on July 31 in Istanbul, Turkey and will run until August 6.
