In a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed the need to broaden the friendly relations between the two countries.
He also lauded the Qatari government’s positive role and its high-ranking officials’ constructive efforts in regional and international developments.
Amirabdollahian then appreciated Qatar’s constructive role in the efforts to release Iran’s frozen assets.
For his part, the Qatari foreign minister expressed satisfaction with the friendly ties between Doha and Tehran.
He also called for the continuation of close consultations between the two countries.
