Iran Defeats Qatar at FIBA U-16 Asian Championship 2023
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat Qatar 86-65 in Group B of the FIBA U-16 Asian Championship 2023 on Tuesday.
Sina Mohammadi had a second straight game of scoring over 20 points with 26 points and Mohamed Massamba Ndao led Qatar with 24 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
Japan booked its place in Quarter-Finals as the group winner with three wins, while Iran will face the third team of Group A on Thursday.
The teams that advance to the Semi-Finals will also qualify for the FIBA U-17 Basketball World Cup 2024 to be held in Turkey from June 29 to July 7 next year.
