Iran’s Economic Growth to Reach 3% in 2023: IMF
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its latest report on the World Economic Outlook put Iran’s economic growth in 2022 and 2023 at 3.8 and 3 percent respectively.
The international monetary body also put Iran’s inflation rate in 2022 at 45.8 percent and said the rate will increase to 47 percent in 2023.
According to the IMF, the balance of Iran’s current accounts in 2023 will reach 3.4 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP).
This is while the balance of Iran’s current accounts in 2022 was equivalent to 4.2 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP).
Based on the prediction of the IMF, the country’s unemployment rate will reach 9.4 percent in 2023.
The IMF had put Iran’s unemployment rate in 2022 at 9.3 percent.
