Palestinians Have Shocked Israel Single-Handedly: IRGC Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps paid tribute to the Palestinian resistance forces for their success in dealing a crushing blow to the Zionist regime without any help from the others.

In remarks on Friday, Major General Hossein Salami said the Al-Aqsa Storm operation that the Palestinian forces have launched outside Gaza has marked the Israeli regime’s biggest defeat since 1948.

Hailing the Palestinian resistance for winning a major victory in the military operation, the top commander described the Al-Aqsa Storm as a result of massive buildup of anger and hatred for the Zionist usurpers.

The general said the Israeli regime’s defeat is considered to be heavy because the Palestinians could deal a devastating blow to the Zionist regime’s army and intelligence services without the assistance of any power.

The myth of the Zionist regime’s invincibility has been exploded, Major General Salami noted.

He stated that the Israeli regime has suffered such a defeat in the world’s greatest intelligence war that it cannot be compensated.

In remarks on October 10, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei pointed to the "irreparable defeat" of the Zionist regime in the epic that was created by the Palestinian youth, saying, “The cause of this destructive storm was the continuous brutality and ferocity of the fake usurper regime against the Palestinian nation. This regime cannot conceal its monstrous and devious face in the attack on Gaza and the massacre of Gazans through the act of lying or by playing the victim. By speaking nonsense, it cannot attribute the bravery of the Palestinian youth and their intelligent plans to non-Palestinians.”

The Israeli regime has been pounding the Gaza Strip for a week. At least 1,537 Palestinians have been killed and 6,612 wounded in the Israeli airstrikes.

Fear and confusion have gripped Gaza after the Israeli army told more than 1 million trapped Palestinians living in the north of besieged enclave to move south within 24 hours ahead of expected ground offensive.
