Dal Zotto among Nominees for Iran Volleyball National Team
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Brazilian coach Renan Dal Zotto is among the nominees to take charge of Iran’s national volleyball team.
The Brazilian coach announced his resignation as the head coach of Brazil after the team qualified for the Paris 2024 Games in early October.
Renan took over the Brazilian team in 2017, succeeding Bernardinho. During his tenure, the team clinched the 2019 World Cup and the 2021 VNL titles.
Italian coaches Gianlorenzo Blengini and Andrea Anastasi as well as Belgian Vital Heynen and Stephane Antiga of France have also been nominated to take charge of Team Melli.
Iran has almost missed the chance to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games following poor results in Pool A in Rio de Janeiro.
Behrouz Ataei stepped down from his role and the team is led by his assistant Alireza Toloukian at the moment.
