Iran, Qatar Discuss Plans for End to Gaza War

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar weighed plans and efforts to stop the Israeli regime’s atrocities against the Gaza Strip.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met in Doha on Tuesday.

The two senior diplomats talked about the latest developments in Palestine and discussed the initiatives for ending the Zionist regime’s war crimes against the people of Gaza.

The foreign minister of Iran has stepped up diplomatic efforts in recent weeks to mobilize regional support for the people of Gaza, over 8,300 of whom have been killed in the Israeli strikes during the past 25 days.

Amirabdollahian has also traveled to the United Nations, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria recently to weigh plans to lift the siege of Gaza and end the Israeli atrocities.

The UN officials have appealed to the Security Council for a ceasefire in Gaza, as the head of UNICEF warns that more than 420 children are being killed or injured in the besieged enclave every day.
