IRCS Ready to Build Academic Center, Hospital in Kenya

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) announced that the country is ready to construct an academic center and hospital in Kenya.

In a meeting with Iran’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Kenya on Tuesday, Pir-Hossein Koulivand stated that the society has decided to build an equipped hospital and a university in this African country.

Koulivand emphasized the development and expansion of activities of Iran’s Red Crescent Society in Kenya and said African countries need to receive quality healthcare, treatment and pharmaceutical services.

The IRCS is able to help Kenya treat patients suffering from various diseases, he said, and pointed out that the society is ready to set up an equipped hospital and academic center for training students of this African country.

Iran’s new envoy to Kenya, for his part, stressed the high capacity of Iran for the expansion of relations, bolstering of health tourism and taking advantage of the therapeutic-pharmaceutical capacities in this African country.
