Soraya Aghaei, Iranian female Olympian in Badminton, has been included in this list. The list of 18 females and 14 males, who will seek election to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes’ Commission (AC) next year at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, has been approved by the IOC Executive Board (EB).
Four positions are up for election. The candidates, who have been nominated by their respective National Olympic Committees (NOCs) together with their Athletes’ Commissions, come from 15 sports and 32 NOCs.
The IOC Athletes’ Commission serves as a link between athletes and the IOC. During their eight-year term, members of the commission work to provide athletes with a platform to share their voices and experiences.
